My Faith

I

I am a Christian and I am passionate about my relationship with Jesus Christ.

To be a Christian is to accept Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Savior and commit to living a life that is pleasing to him.  I am confident that I could not have made it this far without Him. I give God all of the glory for my success and trust Him for the outcome of my life.

I believe that God has blessings and new opportunities in store for us. To receive them we must take steps of faith towards them. This often means doing things we don’t feel like doing, may not think will work, or may not feel are important. But our trust and reverence towards God must be greater than what we personally want, think or feel.

If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to your
mountain, “MOVE!” and it WILL move… and NOTHING will be
impossible for YOU!
– Matthew 17:20

When I say I’m a Christian

When I say, “I am a Christian”   I’m not shouting, “I’ve been saved!”

I’m whispering, “I get lost!  That’s why I chose this way”

When I say, “I am a Christian”   I don’t speak with human pride

I’m confessing that I stumble—Needing God to be my guide

When I say, “I am a Christian”  I’m not trying to be strong

I’m professing that I’m weak  and pray for strength to carry on

When I say, “I am a Christian”  I’m not bragging of success

I’m admitting that I’ve failed  and cannot ever pay the debt

When I say, “I am a Christian”  I don’t think I know it all

I submit to my confusion  Asking humbly to be taught

When I say, “I am a Christian”  I’m not claiming to be perfect

My flaws are all too visible  But God believes I’m worth it

When I say, “I am a Christian”   I still feel the sting of pain

I have my share of heartache,  Which is why I seek His name

When I say, “I am a Christian”  I do not wish to judge

I have no authority…   I only know I’m loved
