I grew up in the city of Philadelphia in an area where poverty was a way of life and the thought of change was only a dream. I kept this mindset through most of my adult life accepting poverty as my lifestyle because it was all that I ever knew and all that was ever around me.
My husband was always the main provider and we had always lived pay check to paycheck. I had dreams of a better life but I never knew how to make those dreams a reality. My view of a Real Estate Investor was a guy in a suite wearing a Rolex watch stuffed in an office somewhere on Wall Street. Real Estate was the last thing on my mind as I cleaned houses for people or sold my paintings to buy dinner for my children. I was always looking for ways to supplement our income only to go in a complete circle and end up in the same financial position again and again. I had never even thought about Real Estate changing my life or providing an income.
One night while my husband and I were watching television one of Dean Graziosi’s Infomercials came on. Dean began to share how Real Estate investing could change our life and he was so inspiring that my husband and I ordered the book “Be a Real Estate Millionaire” by Dean Graziosi. Needless to say this was the best $30.00 that I have ever spent!
When I received the book I read it from cover to cover, took notes and then read it again. Dean shared Real Estate strategies of how I could make money now with no money out of my pocket. This was GREAT considering the fact that I had no money in my pocket. I started implementing his strategies step by step. I began to build my buyers list and when I got up to about 10 buyers on my list I started to search for properties. I drove my neighborhood, the neighborhood up the road and every neighborhood within 10 miles of my home. I wrote down addresses of vacant properties, researched and contacted owners and literally did not stop until I had something to work with. An owner, a buyer whatever was going to make the connection I searched for it. I was determined that I was going to do this and nothing was going to stop me.
Over the next few months I continued to follow Dean’s methods and I began purchasing other real estate investing books and programs to learn more. I wanted more knowledge and began investing my time into obtaining it. The books and programs that I bought were dry in that they did not really explain the how to’s and step by step methods. They left me hanging wondering what to do next. I would actually find myself going to the Dean Graziosi Forum( deangraziosi.com) to find the answer to what the other books were instructing me to do. I spent hundreds of dollars on books and materials only to keep going back to the one that I had spent my last $30.00 on a few months before. “Be A Real Estate Millionaire” had become my Real Estate Bible and I kept going back to it to find answers and get encouragement.
During this first year I faced many challenges. I had to overcome obstacles of fear, discouragement from others and disappointments when things did not work out as planned.
Needless to say here I am now making a great profit from Real Estate and I am dedicated to helping others change their life through Real Estate Investing. My goal is to proved the resources and step by step articles that will help others begin to make money in Real Estate.
